![]() Timothy Connors is an [Adjunct Fellow in the] Manhattan Institute's Center for Policing Terrorism and a Partner in PJ Sage, Inc., a security consulting firm. Mr. Connors is also a Civil Affairs officer in the United States Army Reserve stationed in [Riverdale Park, Maryland]. The Center for Policing Terrorism (CPT) helps police departments combat terrorism using a global network of the finest counter terrorism minds. CPT partners with police departments for the purpose of turning this intellect into practical products, advice, and services. [Since 2003], Mr. Connors has worked closely with law enforcement officials in several jurisdictions on counterterrorism issues. He has managed project execution, helped research and write analytical reports, maintained a global network of experts in terrorism and counterterrorism, and designed a counterterrorism website specifically for law enforcement officers. [He is assigned to a Civil Affairs Brigade in the Army Reserve, which consists of] soldiers who are specially trained to develop rapport with indigenous populations. A Civil Affairs unit [also] handles all aspects of military interaction with civilians on the battlefield. Tim graduated West Point in 1988 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant of Infantry. He served on active duty with 10th Mountain Division in Fort Drum, NY, 2nd Infantry Division in Korea, and the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell Kentucky. In addition, he served with the 38th Infantry Division in the Indiana Army National Guard while earning his MBA and law degree at the University of Notre Dame. While practicing business law in Syracuse, New York, he deployed with his Reserve unit to Konar Province, Afghanistan and led a team that supported B Company of the 20th Special Forces Group. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and Expert Infantryman Badge.
